RIYADH: Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir met French Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ludovic Pouille in Riyadh on Wednesday.
During the meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries and international issues of common interest were reviewed.
Earlier, Pouille described French-Saudi relations as “historical and close,” stressing that his side “witnessed a development in all fields, especially after the visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Paris in April 2018 and his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.”
He said that the meeting gave new impetus to the strategic relationship.
The French ambassador also praised Saudi Arabia’s cultural heritage. He lauded efforts by the Saudi leadership to modernize the country within the framework of Vision 2030.
